Ford Mustang Mach-E wins NACTOY Utility of the Year award

One of the biggest awards in the automotive industry is the North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the year (NACTOY) awards. Taking place in January, the jury consists of 50 automotive journalists.

This year was a big win for electrification, with the Ford Mustang Mach-E taking home the trophy as Utility of the Year. We’re pretty big fans of the Mach-E here, and it beat out competitors from both Genesis and Land Rover.

Additionally, the whole Ford F-150 lineup won Truck of the Year, no doubt because of the excellent hybrid powertrain. The Car of the Year went to the Hyundai Elantra lineup, including the hybrid.

So it’s a big year for electrified powertrains with the NACTOY voters, and it is likely an indication of things to come.
