Hyundai expands home charger offers for IONIQ models

Hyundai has expanded its complimentary home charger and charging credit offers to include the 2025 IONIQ 6, 2024 IONIQ 6, and 2024 IONIQ 5 models. Starting March 1, 2025, customers who purchase or lease any of these new models will have the option to choose between a ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger or a $400 charging credit. The charger will be provided through the Hyundai Home Marketplace, which also assists with scheduling professional installation. It is important to note that paid installation is required to receive the charger. Customers opting for the $400 credit can utilize it through the ChargePoint mobile app.

The program is designed to facilitate the transition to electric vehicle ownership by making home charging more accessible. “At Hyundai, we’re committed to making the transition to electric as seamless as possible for our customers,” stated Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president of product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America.

Eligible customers have 60 days from the date of purchase or lease to select either the home charger or the charging credit. For those choosing the charger, they must create a profile on the Hyundai Home Marketplace, enter vehicle-specific information, and select the charger option. Following this, they will receive an email from Hyundai Home partner Electrum with further instructions.

For customers opting for the $400 ChargePoint credit, a similar process is required on the Hyundai Home Marketplace. After selecting the credit, they will receive a coupon code via email, which must be redeemed within 60 days of vehicle purchase or lease. The credit can be used over a two-year period.

The Hyundai Home Marketplace serves as a comprehensive resource for Hyundai EV customers, offering options for home electrification, including the delivery and installation of chargers, solar panels, and home energy storage systems. Hyundai has partnered with Electrum to enhance the customer experience, providing access to Energy Advisors for assistance throughout the process of transitioning to electric vehicle ownership.
