Ford has unveiled a new prototype for the Mustang Mach-E, designed specifically for NASCAR. This electric vehicle joins the ranks of other Ford Performance demonstrators, including the SuperTruck, SuperVan 4.2, and Super Cobra Jet 1800. The Mach-E prototype incorporates several components from the existing Cup Series car, such as the suspension, brakes, steering, and wheels. It is equipped with three electric motors and features a full carbon fiber tub, enhancing its structural integrity. Additionally, the vehicle is powered by a 78 kWh battery, which supports its performance capabilities in a racing environment. This development marks a significant step in Ford’s commitment to electric racing technology.
