Lucid launches Gravity Touring to broaden three row EV lineup

Lucid has expanded its Gravity SUV family with the Lucid Gravity Touring, a new dual motor all wheel drive model starting at $79,900. Customer orders are open, and the company says select configurations are available for immediate delivery. “There’s not another SUV in its segment that can deliver the combination of range, interior space, and driving performance found in the Lucid Gravity Touring,” said Marc Winterhoff, Interim CEO at Lucid.

Built on the same platform as the Gravity Grand Touring, the Gravity Touring uses Lucid’s high efficiency battery and powertrain architecture with native NACS compatibility. An 89 kWh battery pack delivers an EPA estimated range of up to 337 miles. The SUV can charge at up to 300 kW on 1000V DC fast chargers to add 200 miles in 15 minutes and can access more than 25,000 Tesla Superchargers, thousands of Electrify America connectors and other DC fast charging stations. At Tesla Superchargers, Lucid’s rear motor boost charging allows up to 220 kW on 500V hardware.

The Gravity Touring produces up to 560 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds. Standard air suspension and an optional Dynamic Handling Package are aimed at combining comfort and agility. Inside, buyers can choose five or seven seats, with up to 120 cubic feet of cargo space in the five seat layout. Six exterior colors and 20 to 23 inch wheels are offered, with a standard Stealth Appearance and an optional Platinum Appearance package.

The model carries over Lucid’s Clearview Cockpit, a 34 inch curved 6K OLED display for the driver, and Lucid UX 3.0 with over the air updates. The optional DreamDrive 2 Pro system adds the brand’s most advanced driver assistance package, with 32 onboard sensors.
